A self-described “photo activist” Saiful grew up in Bangladesh, surrounded by political activists and now uses his camera to tell stories. Recently, his work was on display as part of the Cambodia’s Angkor Photo Fesital, 2010. With much reflection and candor, Saiful Hug Omi, shares with us his words and images from the series “Hereos Never Die.”

To meet Nick Brandt, you need patience first of all, as this photographer is highly demanded and extremely bus, case in point: his latest work – “A shadow falls” – was opening in three European capitals within ten days! Lesphotographes.com managed to catch him in Brussels before he left for Paris: patience was rewarded. Nick Brandt is a photographer with a real and genuine passion for his subjects, African animals. His pictures bring this well-known photography genre to another level, adding intimacy and romance. After three years, Sarah Christianson has recently received a MFA from the University of Minnesota in photography. Throughout this time, she focused on a rather personal project: documenting her family’s farm. We caught up with Sarah in the gallery space where she was exhibiting her final project and she walked us through the show.
